Archive Studio

Based in Amsterdam, NL

After 6 years working for large organizations abroad, Lynn and Wouter decided that it was time to set up something for themselves. With a desire to create a small product line which aligned with their belief that products should serve a purpose, be well-designed, and be functional, Archive Studio was born in 2018.

With sustainability in mind, the entire collection is handcrafted in a workshop in Vietnam, where craft has been the basis of production for generations and the manufacturing of these products supports the local economy. Traditionally, North Vietnam is a region where refined tableware has come from for centuries.

All pieces are fired at very high temperatures, making the clay compact and the product strong and durable. Because of temperature differences in the kiln, beautiful nuances in size and colour are created.

'The beauty of crockery is that sustainability and design come together very well. Good crockery will last a lifetime and you will enjoy a good dish even more if it is served on a nice plate.'
