CLÆ is a small pottery studio set up as a creative outlet for Josie Swift. Josie began taking evening pottery classes at the charity Clayspace in Margate, Kent. A newfound love for ceramics, led her to make connections with a whole network of potters, and with their help, Josie set up her own studio in Kent.

Josie makes functional, contemporary ceramics, that are made to be treasured. Each piece is unique and individual, and she is not preoccupied with making each piece 'perfect', believeing that the beauty of a piece can come from it's imperfections. Each piece is wheel thrown, or hand-built, by Josie herself and fired at studio in Folkstone.

We're really excited to work closely with Josie and to stock, among other pieces, some of her signature incense dishes with a splatter design that is an exclusive combination, made in small batches, for our shop.
