Isla Middleton

Based in Devon, UK

Isla Middleton graduated from Falmouth University in 2016, where she studied textile design, specialising in print.

With a passion for print and creating textiles for the home, Isla sources inspiration for her designs from nature. Fascinated by plant forms, flowers and natural colours from her immediate surroundings, Isla focuses on shape, form and texture to create her unique deisgns. Developing drawings through the use of printmaking techniques has become a particularly compelling method for Isla, allowing her to add character and movement to her patterns.

Her work is a celebration of nature; seasonal vegetables, edible flowers and foraged plants are beautifully illustrated with hand-carved linocut prints. Designed to inspire, encourage and teach you how to sow, grow and harvest fresh produce straight from the garden, highlighting the importance of seasonal, and locally grown organic food, and the positive benefits of connecting with nature.
