Founded by Ania Brzeski, Sloth is centred around keeping things simple - in design, in purpose, and in process. Ania hopes that her work helps to encourage its owner to adopt this philosophy in their everyday life, and that when someone takes home one of her pots, they intend to use it as an excuse to stop, breathe, take a break, and enjoy wherever it is that they find themselves.

Each piece is made by Ania, in her studio in East London. From first mixing the clay to the final glaze and firing, every stage of the process is done by hand, and so production can take a number of weeks. Working slowly with consideration is key to the creation of each piece, and every pot is unique, with part of the beauty being that the marks of the handmade process are evident in the final piece.

Sustainability and responsible production are two key values to Sloth, with an ethos to produce with minimal environmental impact, and encourage a deeper consumer awareness of what we’re buying and where it comes from.
