Beautiful English Oak serving board, by Selwyn House. A classic design and perfect size for serving breads, cheeses or other foods at the table.

The Oak used by Selwyn House is always grown in Britain, from trees felled sustainably to manage the woodland. We support small, independent sawmills who really care about the quality of their timber. They quarter-saw the Oak and air-dry in the Derbyshire countryside for a minimum of 18 months. These slow, patient processes result in fantastically characterful wood - it also means your board is strong and stable, unlikely to warp or split and will only get more characterful with age and use. Look after it, and your board will last a lifetime.

Each board has been carefully cut, shaped and sanded by hand from one single piece of wood to ensure as smooth and useable a surface as possible. It is then finished in food-safe mineral oil, with a final coating of vegan wood balm which brings out the grain with a subtle lustre. Each board is unique and shows the qualities of the wood - some have small knots or striations across the surface which differ from the photos shown here. None of these affect the structure of the wood.

Care: not suitable for dishwashers - hand wash only and do not submerge in water. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry straight away. Wooden products should be oiled every few months to keep them hydrated. We recommend using our Wood Balm for best results.
