Hand-thrown stoneware large mug, by Eren Armitage. Handmade in very small batches in Eren’s home studio in Harrogate, and individually carved by hand. These mugs are an embodiment of art, craftsmanship and a connection to the earth.

The base of the mug is formed from a dark, earthy clay that embraces the natural imperfections and textures of the earth. The outer surface of the mug is adorned with a delicate, hand-carved design, each etch and curve meticulously created by Eren’s hands. The matte white glaze bathes the toasted clay in a subtle, soft radiance, resembling a thin veil of mist on a moonlit night. This finish is a tactile delight, inviting your fingertips to trace the mug's gentle contours.

Taking inspiration from the rough and wild landscape of the Yorkshire Dales, Eren’s Japanese heritage and life in countryside surroundings entwine to create unique patterns and glazes that mimic organic textures.
